The Syndicate Mcc has its origins in South Africa where The Syndicate MC is one of the largest motorcycle clubs in the country with many chapters running from Jo'burg down to Capetown.
It should be noted by UK based clubs visiting this site that the term MC to describe a motorcycle club along with the use of the terms Chapter, President, Sgt at Arms etc, is used in South Africa by the majority of clubs and doesnt unless stated by the club indicate that the three piece ( top and bottom rockers ) worn on the back of members jackets as been earned in the same way that MC/1% colours are earned in the UK. The club in South Africa is very much a family supported club. In the UK we use accepted English protocols to describe the standing of the club and ranks of it's officers.
The original members of The Syndicate MC, have a history that goes back to 1968, when Brian Meredith (Butch), Roy Beyer (Randy Roy), Mervyn Freeman (Terrorist), Johnny Van Rooyen (Flatnose), Mike Filer (Peg Leg), Arthur Bruins (Arch),Robert Graaf (Gap), Atholl Muir (Bonnie), James Bruins and John Sermon (Tarzan) RIP all started riding together. They rode under a banner of a Johannesburg club run by John Henshaw and the Bramley brothers, - Jimmy, Mike & Neville.
In November 1997, after many years of riding together, it was decided to form a new club which became the Satan Saints MC. It’s from this club that 5 chapters broke away. On 05 November 2004, this hard riding band of bikers held a tele-conference in Arch’s workshop and from this The Syndicate MC was born.
The design of our patch was carefully considered to reflect the spirit of our members. The final patch is a combination of the symbols adopted by our chapters including the helmet, pirate and the swords of justice. The compass points represent the geographic diversity of our chapters.
Here in the UK The
Syndicate Mcc was set up in Wolverhampton (2005) by Derek ( China )
Robson, ex Satan's Saints Mc. The use of Mcc in England reflecting the protocols of the United Kingdom. In the UK we never have or would consider the wearing of back
patch, though we respect those that do and the time and effort that is
required to gain their colours, along with the proud traditions of motorcycle club history in this country. Due to the goegraphical spread of our members we are non political and therefore do except invites, associate with, and party with all in the spirit of friendship and respect.
During the latter part of 2009 due to members from outside the Wolverhampton area having to
travel extended distances and enquiries from others about joining the
club, respect was shown with approaches being made and permission asked of the relevant MC's to allow the club to form
in the Northwest of England, following a number of meetings and with
undertakings been given permission was granted in early 2010, with the club in the
Northwest being headed up by Graeme ( Doc ) Moitie.
The club in the UK is not large which is the way we prefer it, each member considering other members as extended family and supporting each other when needed. Like any club however individuals occasionally move on leaving openings for new prospective members, as such if you have an interest in finding out more or feel the club might be right for you please make contact.
